We walk shoulder-to-shoulder with women rising from the ashes of physical and emotional trauma as a result of an abortion, offering unwavering support and Christ-centered accompaniment every step of the way. As a sisterhood, we reclaim our true identity, dignity, and worth in the healing embrace of Jesus. Through His transformative love, we are empowered to carry renewal to every corner of the world.

At the heart of our ministry lies a transformative journey that began with Surrendering the Secret—a compassionate, Bible-based study designed specifically for women navigating the emotional and spiritual aftermath of abortion.
This 8-week post-abortive Bible study, created by author Pat Layton, provided framework for our sisters to create a safe, confidential space for women to:
Our organization was born from the life-changing impact of Surrendering the Secret. Women who completed the study emerged with renewed hope, restored relationships, and a deep sense of God's unconditional love. Inspired by these stories of redemption, we launched our ministry to extend this healing to more women—creating support groups, resources, and ongoing care rooted in the same biblical principles.
Whether you're seeking support for yourself or want to establish a group at your parish, we're here to walk alongside you. Contact us to learn about upcoming studies or register now to start your journey toward wholeness.
"For I will restore health to you, and your wounds I will heal, declares the Lord." — Jeremiah 30:17

We long to create a world where everyone witnesses the healing power of Jesus—a world transformed by the radiant lives of women who have journeyed from silent pain to profound freedom in Christ. Through the sisterhood of those already touched by our ministry, we live out three foundational pillars of action:
We reach out to women silently carrying the weight of emotional and physical trauma, guiding them gently toward healing. Here, they reclaim their God-given identity, dignity, and worth, and find true reconciliation with the Father who calls them beloved.
Healing is not a moment—it’s a journey. We walk alongside every sister with ongoing prayer, faith formation, and joyful community, steadily replacing shame with the overwhelming goodness of God’s love.
Our healed sisters become beacons of renewal. We equip them with resources, training, and support to establish small groups worldwide, multiplying hope as agents of Christ’s healing and grace.
“He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” — Psalm 147:3
Together, we are building a movement of healed hearts, restored lives, and renewed hope—one sister, one family, one community at a time.
Our Apostolate bears the name Second Fire to evoke the two pivotal charcoal fires in the Gospel of John—moments that bookend Peter’s fall and his restoration and mirror every woman’s path from shame to mission.
In the courtyard of the high priest, Peter warms himself at a charcoal fire (John 18:18). There, in fear and self-preservation, he denies Jesus three times. That fire illuminates human weakness: the moment we turn from God, trading His love for silence, safety, or survival.
After the Resurrection, on the shore of Galilee, Jesus kindles another charcoal fire (John 21:9). There, He asks Peter three times, “Do you love me?” With each affirmation, Jesus heals the wounds of denial, restores Peter’s identity, and commissions him: “Feed my sheep.” This fire blazes with mercy—it is the fire of second chances, of divine love that refuses to let failure be the final word.
We chose Second Fire because every woman we serve has stood at her own first fire—wounded, silenced, believing her story ends in ashes. We gather her and walk with her to the Second Fire, where Christ meets her in her brokenness, speaks her name, and ignites her for purpose.
Here, shame is consumed.
Here, identity is reclaimed.
Here, healed hearts are sent—to kindle hope in others, one life at a time.
“Simon, son of John, do you love me?” “Yes, Lord; you know that I love you.” “Tend my sheep.” — John 21:15–17
