The Second Fire Candle Collection transforms the venerable remains of Catholic liturgical candles—which have illuminated countless Catholic Masses, sacraments, and devotions—into beautiful, hand-poured new creations. Each candle carries the subtle, sacred memory of its first light, a symbol of heritage and hope.

100% of the proceeds from the sale of our candles benefit Second Fire, a critical post-abortive recovery healing ministry for women.

The source material for our candles—the charred, used, and destined-to-be-discarded remnants of liturgical candles—holds a powerful symbolism for the women we serve.

Like these once-holy candles, many women who come to Second Fire feel used up, marred by the past, and destined to be set aside or discarded. Their original, sacred purpose feels lost, leaving them feeling unworthy to stand in the light of God.

We take the remnant wax, clean it, purify it, and melt it down completely. In this process, the past is dissolved, and the material is made for a new purpose. The wax is then hand-poured into a new vessel, becoming a new creation.

Like these candles, through Christ's mercy expressed in Second Fire's work, our women are welcomed, purified, and remade. They discover they are not disposable, but profoundly worthy of God's love and made for a mission all their own.

As an added benefit, the act of making these candles provides an ongoing, tangible therapy. It is an opportunity for women to gather, connect, and continue their healing journey, seeing their own story of renewal reflected in every beautiful, newly created candle they craft.
